The Public Service Commission of Wisconsin’s written-comment period for the Foundry Ridge Energy Center closes today, July 23.

EVA has prepared a set of 10 evidence-based public comment examples to help residents organize and express their concerns before the deadline.

The examples cover topics including:

  • public health and air pollution;

  • groundwater, private wells and wastewater;

  • farmland, wildlife and rural character;

  • the One Very Large Customer arrangement;

  • the plant’s proposed operating profile;

  • unresolved gas-pipeline and transmission infrastructure;

  • inconsistencies in the final-filed record; and

  • the fragmented review created by the project’s merchant-plant structure.

Each example includes supporting PSC references and prompts to help residents add their own experiences and concerns.

These examples are intended only as starting points. Please choose the issue that matters most to you, personalize the language, remove the instructions and submit one comment in your own words. Residents who already submitted a comment during the current written-comment period should not submit a duplicate comment.
